Ohio’s largest school district, Columbus City Schools, reignites and engages students with an innovative summer school program. Korda Institute for Teaching trained educators to design and teach projects where students developed skills and deep knowledge while solving problems for local community partners. Students conducted research, worked collaboratively and developed creative solutions for local organizations including Columbus Museum of Art, NBC4, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and Habitat for Humanity.

“This was the most incredible experience of my teaching career… I think we underestimate our students and this program allows them to show us what they can do.”

Alana Veach
English Teacher, Columbus City Schools
