Teachers from Columbus City School District used a local business’s problem for students to learn social justice and critical skills. Lifestyle Cafe activated CCS students to expand the reach and impact of this black women-owned vegan restaurant in the local community. Students learned about food insecurity, economic systems, and structural barriers to health and wellness.
